The 30th Annual July 4th Family Fireworks Extravaganza Featuring Troy Laz & 2 Hipnotic Band

It’s almost time for one of the best days of the year in Clinton, Mississippi: the July 4th Family Fireworks Extravaganza!

In total, during 2016 there were 11 billion outdoor outings among Americans, an average of 76.5 outings per participant. Perhaps one of the most popular outdoor party days of the year is July 4th. Everyone is off of work, it’s (usually) nice out, there’s delicious barbecue to be had, and fireworks fill the air.

This year will mark the 30th anniversary of the annual July 4th Family Fireworks Extravaganza and will feature some great musical acts.

On Wednesday, July 4th, starting at 5:00 p.m. (with gates opening at 4:00 p.m.), families will start piling into Traceway Park and will have plenty of fun until late in the evening.

The Chad Wesley Band will open the show and Troy Laz and the 2 Hypnotic Band will headline the Extravaganza. The event will also feature a Play World area where children can have all kinds of fun and, the main attraction: the spectacular fireworks show starting at 9:30 p.m.

Additionally, it’s going to be a wonderful few days in a row, too!

Current weather reports are looking great for the July 4th Family Fireworks Extravaganza. As of right now, there are a few isolated thunderstorms projected for the 3rd of July, but the 4th looks absolutely perfect for a great day of fireworks, family, and patriotic fun.

The high for Wednesday the 4th is listed at 92 degrees Fahrenheit with the day’s low at a comfortable 72 degrees. There will be a few clouds in the sky for most of the day, but it will primarily be a day full of sunshine.

Parking is $10 per vehicle and all attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and a tent to enjoy the firework display at night. Initial parking will be located in lots across Soccer Row. Once those spots are filled, additional parking will open on Cynthia Street from Arrow drive.
