Yummy Shrimp Scampi

According to some foodies, this shrimp-related recipe is one of the most popular ones, especially during the summer. After reading the instructions, you will easily see why that’s the case. Let’s see how it goes!

Ingredients:

  1. 1 ¼ pound of huge shrimp, deveined and peeled
  2. Kosher salt
  3. 12 ounces of linguine
  4. ½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  5. 1/3 cup of extra-virgin olive oil
  6. 5 cloves of minced garlic
  7. 1/3 cup of dry white wine
  8. ¼ cup of fresh parsley
  9. ½ of lemon juice, along with wedges for serving
  10. 4 tablespoons of butter, cut into pieces

Take a large saucepan of salted water and start boiling it. Put the linguine and cook according to the instructions. Reserve one cup of water and then drain. In the meantime, add some salt to the shrimp.

Heat the olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat. Put the red pepper flakes and garlic and cook until the garlic gets the golden color. After that, add the shrimp, and stir from time to time, until it becomes pink.

Furthermore, place the shrimp on a plate and then add the lemon juice and wine to the pan and simmer for approximately two to three minutes. Then put back the shrimp along with the juices from the plate to the pan and then add the butter, linguine, and ½ cup of the cooking water.

Keep tossing and cooking until the butter is completely melted and the shrimp is warm enough, which is about two minutes, and then, if necessary, add more cooking water. Season everything with salt and stir the ingredients in the parsley.
