    Youth Beginner Tennis

    Once again the Clinton Parks and Recreation Department and the United States Tennis Association (USTA) will be partnering to provide beginner tennis lessons for children ages 6-12 at Brighton Park.
    Lessons will take place Wednesday’s from 4:30 P.M.and Saturday’s from 11:00 A.M. to Noon. Two sessions are scheduled for March 22- April 15 and April 19-May 13.
    USTA’s “Ready to Rally” beginner tennis program provides children the opportunity to learn the game of tennis from certified tennis professionals in a fun and engaging environment.  Cost for the four week (8 lessons) session is $58.
    The sessions will consist of basic demonstration and instruction of tennis techniques, as well as game strategy and scoring.

    Clinton Attaché plans Spring Revue May 3-6

    Clinton High School’s Attache’ Show Choir will present its Spring Revue May 3-6 at the Clinton High auditorium. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. each night.

     

    Musical selections will include a mix of popular favorites from many styles of music and will conclude with their undefeated 2017 competition set. The Clinton Jr. High Ambassadors show choir will also showcase their 2017 competition set at the revue.

     

    Tickets are $9 and $10 and can be purchased at the Clinton High auditorium from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday April 22, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays beginning April 24 through May 5.

    Absentee Ballots for General Election

    The City Clerk’s office, located at Brighton Park 530 Frontage Road, will be open from 8a until noon for those registered voters wishing to cast an absentee ballot in the runoff election.

    The deadline to register to vote in the general election is noon. The City Clerk’s office will be open from 8a until noon for those wishing to register to vote.

    Hypertufa Workshop

    The Clinton Community Nature Center will be the sire of a Hypertufa Worshop on Saturday, May 6. Set for at 9:30am, the workshop will be led by Bettye Sue Hennington, who will explain the benefits of hypertufa, which is a natural, breathable material that is solid like cement, but can let water escape and is much lighter than cement.

    Hennington will lead attendees in a workshop to build their own hypertufa pot. The workshop is appropriate for adults and older children.

    The cost for the workshop is $5 for members and $8 for non-members. Materials and supplies, as well as the plants to go in the creation, are included.

    Attendees must reserve a spot in the workshop by May 2 by emailing edcoordinatorccnc@gmail.com.
