Coffee with a Cop
Area residents are invited to join the Clinton Police Department for Coffee with a Cop on September 19. The morning meeting will be held at the Fountain View Cafe at Southpointe Business Park. Clintonians can meet with Chief Hayman and officers from 8:30a until 9:30 a.
The event is designed so that police officers and community members can meet in a comfortable environment to discuss any topic – from crime to neighborhood nuisance issues. Over a cup of coffee, community members and police officers can get to know each other better in efforts to build relationships.
Chief Ford Hayman, upon his appointment as police chief, shared his plan to engage the community in a more direct manner and to build relationships between citizens and police officers, and Coffee with a Cop has become a vital tool to accomplish those goals.
Businesses that are interested in hosting a Coffee with a Cop event are invited to contact Chief Ford Hayman at 601-924-5252.

Slugs and Bugs Live! Concert
Mark your calendars and make plans to join us at Morrison Heights Baptist Church for an evening of fun as we host Slugs and Bugs Live! in concert. This is a FREE event! Slugs and Bugs is Dove Award nominated Christian music for children that includes both silly songs and Bible songs the entire family will love! Randall Goodgame leads the performance and is a critically acclaimed singer songwriter. He has written songs for the likes of Andrew Peterson, Caedmon’s Call, Jason Gray, and has also written a number of songs for VeggieTales. The catchy tunes allow children (and adults) to not only have fun but to learn Scripture and foundational truths as well. For more information, contact Paige Atkinson at 601.925.6454 or visit www.morrisonheights.org/slugsandbugs.
