H.O.O.T. 2019

The streets of Clinton’s Olde Towne will once again be filled with ghouls, ghosts and goblins when the Clinton Parks and Recreation Department hosts its annual “Haunting of Olde Towne.”

Called “H.O.O.T.” for years, the Haunting of Olde Towne will be held on Thursday, October 31, from 6 until 8:30 pm.

New for 2019, the Clinton Police Department and Dispatch are joining the fun with monster Mugshots, candy and other fun experiences inside the Police Department during the event. Children will also receive a child identification kit and free fingerprint card.

Returning to the event are the usual crowd favorites such as cake walks, costume contests for all ages, carnival style games and a pumpkin carving contest. In addition, a climbing wall, bounce houses and other interactive games will be available for H.O.O.T. attendees.

As always, there will be lots of candy and toys for everyone participating in the games, and age appropriate prizes will be given to contest winners. The cost for the event is $2 per person.

Entrances to this year’s event will be at the intersection of Main and Jefferson Streets and on Leake Street in front of the police station.

Trick or treating in Clinton will be held on October 31. The City of Clinton does not reschedule holiday observances, but rather leaves it to the discretion of a neighborhood and/or organization whether they will offer trick or treating on another day.
