CPSD is holding a district-wide parent meeting at Clinton High School at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20. This meeting is open to families of students in the English Language program, teachers, translators and anyone interested in EL services available in Clinton’s public schools.
Clinton’s junior show choir, The Ambassadors, is holding its annual “A Taste of Ambassadors” fundraiser at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 at Clinton Junior High. Enjoy refreshments and see the 2020 Ambassadors competition show, and bid for items in the silent auction. Tickets may be purchased from any Ambassadors member and will also be sold at the door.

Attache’ Show Choir’s alumni dinner threatre is set for Jan. 25. The event will be held at Mississippi College’s Anderson Hall in the B.C. Rogers Student Center. The Saturday evening program begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30. Tickets are $45/person and proceeds support Clinton High School’s Attache’ Show Choir program.
The fundraising event combines delicious cuisine, a silent auction, and amazing talent on stage. This year’s performing alumni include: Casey Collier, Jordan Carmean, Jill Duckworth Comfort, Kendall Sparks, David Zhu. Special emcees for the dinner are ’96 Attache’ alum: Tiffany Thornton Kopfinger, Brandi Nation Myers, Nicole Walker Register, Brittany Wagner.
Guests will also get to see the Attache’ 2020 competition set. The silent auction will feature a $500 Gateway Tire gift card, tuition certificate to DanceWorks Studio, two tickets to the Junior Civic League Gala, numerous household items, jewelry, gift certificates for dry cleaning, house cleaning, restaurants, gyms, and photography sessions.

There will be a public meeting on Wednesday January 29, 2020 at the Clinton Visitor Center beginning at 10:00 am. City officials and the City Storm Water Official will be available to talk to and answer questions from Clinton Residents regarding storm water runoff issues. Clintonians are invited to enjoy a murder mystery party at the Olde Towne Depot. The Detectives, a local comedy dinner theater group, will host an interactive murder mystery event, complete with a little audience participation, on Thursday, January 30, at the Olde Towne Depot. The event includes a meal and begins at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets for the event are $45 per person and can be purchased online at www.OldeTowneDepot.com/detectives or at the Olde Towne Depot, located at 281 East Leake Street.
Tickets will include salad, entree, beverage and dessert by Colley’s Catering of Clinton. Attendees may also bring their own alcoholic beverage, if desired. Tickets are limited, and the deadline to register is Friday, January 24. Organizers note that the performance will include some adult humor.
