Clinton High School is celebrating the fifteenth year of its annual Princess Ball, open to CPSD girls in grades K-3.
The event will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 6, in the CHS Ballroom (cafeteria). There will be music for dancing, snacks for nibbling, and everyone’s favorite princesses for meeting.
Attendees must be accompanied by a Prince Charming (father, grandfather, brother, etc. who is high school age or older) or a Fair Godmother (mother, grandmother, sister, etc. who is high school age or older).
Only one adult can attend the ball with the princess.
Tickets are $60 and include a t-shirt and a digital photo of the princess and her Prince Charming or Fairy Godmother. Proceeds will be used to assist the CHS Arrow Players as they attend the SETC regional theatre conference in Louisville, Kentucky. The Arrow Players were recently selected as one of two Mississippi high school theatre programs to attend the conference. Proceeds will also help with registration fees for the CHS Academic Team.
Registration forms and ticket fees are due at CHS no later than February 14. Checks will not be accepted. For a registration form or more information, email ndent@clintonpublicschools.com or bfreeny@clintonpublicschools.com.
Genesis & Light Center invites children, grades K – 8th, to be safe, active, healthy and engaged during time off from school by joining us for our Spring Break Camp. The goal is to give students something to do for spring break, and G&L has a camp full of educational and recreational activities designed to keep children encouraged and inspired. During the week, the children will participate in enrichment and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) recreational activities, such as basketball, volleyball, kickball, computer games, movies, Foosball, air hockey, board games, arts and crafts projects and more. Campers are divided into groups by grade and participate in activities of their interest. In any case, we promise your child(ren) will come home tired but inspired to finish the rest of the school year strong!
Spring Break Camp lasts Monday, March 9th through Friday, March 13th, from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm at Genesis and Light Center, 4914 N. State Street, Jackson, MS 39206. Parents must provide their child’s lunch. Registration is $70 per child. Visit the Center to register your child(ren) or to volunteer to help. Call 601-362-6736 for additional information.
