The annual Clinton community Eggstra Special Event, set for Sunday, April 5, from 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. at Traceway Park. Open to children ages 12 and younger the event will have the traditional lineup of egg hunts and carnival games.
Back for 2020, an Egg Hunt for Special Needs residents has been added and will start at 2:15 P.M. This additional hunt highlights the continued services of the City of Clinton’s Therapeutic Recreation Departments to the Special Needs residents of our community.
Eggstra Special Event has been one of Clinton’s premiere events for years and is a continued partnership between the Junior Auxiliary of Clinton and the City’s Parks and Recreation Department. Held at Traceway Park, it provides an opportunity for the entire community to come together for a family-friendly egg hunt, with special activities and a visit from the Easter Bunny himself.
The Spring Into Green Market, set for April 13, 2019, is the kickoff to Main Street Clinton’s Olde Towne Market season. The market features the ever popular Caterpillar Parade, welcoming hundreds of participants to march in the annual rite of spring. The Spring Into Green Market hosts vendors from all over the state, with handmade items ranging from soaps and woodwork to jewelry and prints. Marketgoers enjoy live music and delicious food while shopping along the brick streets. Children receive a chrysalis, courtesy of Main Street Clinton, and can have fun with bounce houses, face painting, and more!

Open to any young girl, the Butterfly Court marches together in the Caterpillar Parade wearing wings and sashes and is recognized alongside the Queen at the crowning ceremony. Main Street Clinton, Clinton Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Clinton are excited to bring back this fun event to Olde Towne Clinton. “Taste the Town,” will feature Clinton’s local restaurants lining Jefferson Street from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. as they showcase two dishes for the crowd to sample. From appetizers to desserts to anything in between, participants will have plenty of choices when it comes time to taste. Tea, lemonade, and water will be included in the purchase of a $20 ticket, and craft beer will be available for purchase from Olde Towne restaurants. Whether it’s Southern comfort food, Mexican favorites, or Italian cuisine, everyone can find something to curb their cravings. Bring your appetite and join us for a delicious night in Olde Towne.
