- Youth tennis lessons-Brighton Park
Once again, the Clinton Parks and Recreation Department and the United States Tennis Association (USTA) will be partnering to provide youth tennis lessons for children at Brighton Park.
Lessons will take place on Saturdays from March 27 through May 8 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., with no lessons on April 3.
USTA’s “Ready to Rally” and “Ready to Play” tennis programs provide children the opportunity to learn the game of tennis from certified tennis professionals in a fun and engaging environment.
Cost for the tennis lessons is $58.
The sessions will consist of basic demonstra tion and instruction of tennis techniques, as well as game strategy and scoring. Loaner rackets will be available.

- CPSD “returning student” registration opens today
Registration for the 2021-2022 school year for all students returning to the district will open today, the first week of May.

- Reading Railroad @ the Olde Towne Depot
Visit the Olde Towne Depot on the first Tuesday of each month for a children’s reading at 3:30 p.m. Kids will enjoy a short train-themed book followed by a look at the Depot’s model train and other items on display.

Join us for a fun, free evening event at the Olde Towne Depot! First Friday Jazz will take place the first Friday of every month, February through November, beginning at 7:00 PM.
**As of 4/23 and until further notice, First Friday Jazz will be a drive-in experience. Jazz musicians will perform outside on the front porch of the Depot while listeners enjoy the music from the safety of their vehicles.

- Hazardous Waste Disposal-Saturday May 8
The City of Clinton has added a second Hazardous Waste disposal day for residents. The spring hazardous waste disposal will take place on Saturday, May 8, at the Public Works Facility at 525 Springridge Road. Disposal will be accepted from 8 A.M. until noon.
Residents are encouraged to dispose of common household chemical waste, such as used motor oil, paint, paint thinners, propane tanks, batteries, aerosols, antifreeze and insecticides, by bringing it to the facility for proper disposal.

On May 11, a reception will be held to celebrate Clinton Public School District faculty and staff members retiring this year.
The event will be come-and-go beginning at 5:00pm on Tuesday, May 11in the Cafeteria at Central Office at 201 Easthaven Drive.

- LIVESTREAM: Municipal General Election Debate
The League of Women Voters is providing voter education once again for the Clinton community in the upcoming General Election and the Clinton Chamber of Commerce is joining us as a partner. Our goal is to help citizens make informed choices when they go to the polls on June 8 as they choose the leaders for our city. Representatives of the League and the Chamber are responsible for compiling the questions, which will address topics of concern to voters such as public safety and economic development. Randy Bell has agreed to serve as moderator.
The debates will be live-streamed and continue to be posted on the City of Clinton Facebook page. Each debate will be available the next day on the City webpage.
