Reading Railroad

Olde Towne Depot, 281 E Leake St, Clinton, MS 39056, USA

Visit the Olde Town Depot on the first Tuesday of each month for a children’s reading at 3:30 p.m. Kids will enjoy a short train-themed book followed by a look at the Depot’s model train and other items on display. You might even catch a ride on Turner the Train!

Soup & Bowl party

Join us on February 3rd for a crockpot Soup & Bowl Party at the Wood Center.

All you have to do is mix up your favorite homemade soup and bring it to the center for a potluck style lunch! RSVP to bring a pot of soup or to just come out to enjoy the many different flavors and become a judge.

It’s almost time to gear up for another great Challenger League Softball Season. Registration is open now and ends on February 25th.

We have six consecutive weeks of play beginning on March 21st. The cost to register is $20 per player and is due by February 25th. To pre-register your player for the 2022 season, please follow the link below. Then fill out the registration form prior to the deadline and mail or bring it by the Wood Activity Center (111 Clinton Blvd., Clinton MS 39056) along with your payment. Be sure to share this with any friends you may have who qualify for our program. We would love to have them join us!

Wood Activity Center is happy to bring back our Music Workshop on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 1:00pm.

 

Whether you play an instrument or you’re willing to learn, join in with this group and share your knowledge and skill or your willingness to learn!

Instruments are not provided, so participants must bring their own. For any questions, please stop by our office or give us a call @ 601-924-6387

The ensemble’s ambitious commissioning projects and “appealing programs” (New Yorker) celebrate the rich diversity of today’s classical music landscape. Its performances have been described as “gobsmacking” (Cleveland Classical), “innovative” (WBUR), and “the cutting edge of new classical music” (Taos News). Tickets for the James S.
