The Arts Council of Clinton board of directors has scheduled an annual meeting for Monday, June 4, at 6pm at MC’s Gore Galleries, where the past year’s efforts will be reviewed and a look at upcoming plans for art support will be presented.
Providing music will be Therza Weis, who has previously performed for Arts Council events, according to Annette Trotter, who is serving as chairperson.
“Door prizes and refreshments, in addition to music, will make this an enjoyable evening,” Trotter said.
Memberships can be renewed at the meeting. New members will be welcomed, with any persons interested in art support efforts welcomed to join. Officers for the organization’s new year will be installed.
Tickets for the Thacker Mountain Radio Hour, which returns to Clinton June 16, will be available. An After Party from 8 until 9:30p in Olde Town Clinton will follow the Thacker Hour.
The Arts Councile of Clinton, a 501(c)(3) organization, serves as the city’s designated arts agency, supporting its rich artistic heritage through promoting area artists. Arts scholarships are awarded, ,and the support of existing arts programs and educational organizations contribute to community enrichment and appreciation of the arts.
