Clinton’s Neighborhood Night Out is Going Virtual

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, City leaders are offering a virtual Neighborhood Night Out option this year. While the block parties and picnics will be mostly missing this year, the City of Clinton wants to keep the spirit of Neighborhood Night Out alive by providing an online option.

On Tuesday, October 6, the City will provide a WebEx (similar to Zoom) meeting link to neighborhood leaders. City officials, police, and fire personnel will join you and your neighbors on the night of NNO. If you are interested in participating with your neighbors please fill out the registration form at www.ClintonMS.org/NNO or call Lt. Mike Kelly at 601-924-5252.

Neighborhoods that desire to host a traditional meeting with social distancing and mask requirements in place may register their event as well.

Due to the virtual nature of this year’s event, please ensure that your email address is correct to allow access to the meeting.

Residents and HOA leaders may submit questions for City officials and first responders in advance of the virtual NNO on the Ask the Mayor portion of the City website. Please make sure to note that your question is for the NNO live stream event.

Recordings of the virtual NNO will be posted on the City Facebook page and YouTube channel following the event.

The virtual NNO meeting will be streamed live that evening at www. Facebook.com/ClintonMiss

The deadline to register is September 29, 2020.

To register your neighborhood for the virtual Neighborhood Night Out, please click the NNO event tab on this page. WEBex Meeting access information will be posted on the NNO page on Monday, October 5.

Clinton’s Neighborhood Night Out is an annual event designed to strengthen our communities by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with their local law enforcement partners.

The event is scheduled for the first Tuesday in October each year.

Throughout the evening NNO parties will be attended by city administration, police and fire to share updates and tips on building a safer and stronger neighborhood.

Please call Lt. Mike Kelly at 601-924-5252 to inquire if your event can be added to this year’s list. Thank you for your desire to make Clinton safer.
