Mayor Philip R. Fisher and the Board of Aldermen invite the community to attend the swearing-in ceremony for the new term at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 1. The ceremony will be held in Olde Towne Clinton on Jefferson Street with reception to follow.
The community swearing-in ceremony will begin with opening remarks by Mayor Fisher followed by the presentation of colors, Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem and invocation. All elected officials will take the oath of office, administered by Municipal Court Judges Steven Boone and Steven Nixon, and elected officials will give remarks.
A reception will be held following the ceremony on Jefferson Street.
Following the festivities, Mayor Fisher, Main Street Clinton and the Chamber of Commerce are encouraging residents to celebrate the day by shopping or dining in one of our local shops or restaurants.
