Hinds Community College, Creative Learning Fifty-Plus and MSU have partnered to offer the following summer enrichment opportunities at the Eagle Ridge Conference Center:
AARP SMART DRIVER COURSE, Creative Learning Fifty-Plus will offer an AARP Smart Driver Course monthly on the last Tuesday on the following dates from 12 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Summer- Aug.29, Fall-Sept. 26 & Oct. 31. $15 AARP Members and $20 for non-members, payable to AARP day of class. This is a four hour refresher course, required once per three year period to maintain an insurance discount. Take a right off elevator/stairs, RCU Suites #334, in the RCU take a left, go down the hall, Room # 340 on the right, ERCC.
Who’s Ready for SIDEWALK SESSIONS and AFTER HOURS SHOPPING on August 31?!
Olde Towne Clinton will be the setting month for live music with the first fall Sidewalk Sessions of the season, coming righ ton the heels of the Red Brick Roads event. Sidewalk Sessions will be held on Thursday, August 31, from 6pm until 9pm. The live music event features local artists and musicians scattered throughout the brick streets, with participating Olde Towne businesses staying open late for after-hours shopping. Codetta South will play on the porch at Cups from 7pm until 9pm, and James & Leigh and Ellie’s of Olde Towne will be open late on monroe Street, along with Brick Street Pops. The Nostalgics will play on Jefferson Street in front of The Hetrick Team of RE/MAX Alliance, with Ollie + Rae and Good Citizen open late across the street.
Attendees are invited to grab a bit to eat and enjoy local talent at the late night event in Olde Townw.
