    Clinton Aldermen to Hold Special Meeting to Approve 2019 FY’ Budget

    Budget adds new staff and significant park renovations


    Mayor Phil Fisher and the Board of Aldermen for the City of Clinton, will hold a special called meeting at 7:00 A.M. on Friday, September 14, 2018 to adopt the 2019 Fiscal Year Budget. The meeting will be held in the Municipal Courtroom, 305 Monroe Street and is open to the public and media.


    Highlighted in the 2019 proposed budget are the addition of a new fulltime judge for Municipal Court, hiring a full time Economic Development Director, employee pay raises and a $2 million Capital loan for improvements to Traceway Park, construction restrooms at three parks and construction of a soccer stadium at Traceway Park.


    During the September 4 regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen, a public hearing was held to receive comments on the proposed 2019 FY’ Budget. The video archive of that meeting can be viewed on the City of Clinton Facebook page at

    Main Street's Cruzin' Clinton

    9:00 am-1:00 pm

    Main Street Clinton’s Cruzin’ Clinton Car Show is scheduled for Saturday, September 15, and is open to all makes and models. The show will begin at 9am with the popular car parade from Clinton Plaza Shopping Center through town, followed by the show in Olde Towne from 10a until 1p.

    Car enthusiasts are encouraged to make plans to dust off the old dashboard, apply a fresh coat of wax, and enter the show. Pre-registration is $20, and on-site registration is $25.

    There is no admission fee for the public to view the cars.
