    Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church at 414 East College St. Clinton, MS, invites the public to 6:00 Vespers and to hear the Very Rev. Abbot Tryphon speak on October 25.  Abbot Tryphon is the abbot of All-Merciful Saviour Monastery on Vashon Island, Washington. The monastery website is https://vashonmonks.com.  Abbot Tryphon’s  blog and podcast The Morning Offering,  can be found at Ancient Faith Ministries, http://blogs.ancientfaith.com/morningoffering/.   He is the author of The Morning Offering, a book containing his  reflections on faith and contemporary life.  Admission is free.

    The Essence Of Love nonprofit organization street outreach for the youth will be hosting its first annual fundraiser. A Trunk or Treat in the old Mississippi drugs parking lot, 224  Clinton Blvd., Clinton, MS next to Big Lots. This event will have Free Candy , Games and more. We will have a COSTUME CONTEST. The winner will receive $100.00 in cash.     Weekend music is held on every Saturday morning, except the third Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until noon and music every Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m.

    The Friday Nights at Milepost 89 performance season is from March through October.

    The Visitor Center is located at 1300 Pinehaven Road. To get there, take the Clinton exit at Milepost 89 on the Natchez Trace Parkway and turn left onto Pinehaven Road; or from I-20, take Exit 36 and turn north onto Springridge Road, which becomes Pinehaven Road.     The Episcopal Church of the Creator’s Fall Festival activities will kick off on Saturday October 26, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at 1445 Clinton-Raymond Rd. BBQ pulled pork plates, consisting of a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, potato salad and a drink, will be available for purchase for $8.00 for dine in or carry out. Supply will be limited based on advanced ticket sales. Smoked whole pork butts are also available at $40.00 each by advance sale, with no reservations after October 19th (pickup smoked butts at Fall Festival). Please contact the church office at 601-924-2261 regarding purchasing advance tickets and smoked pork butts. Baked goods, frozen casseroles and soups will also be for sale. Children’s activities will be held from 10:30 until 1:00. Music will be on the porch of the education building. The Arts Council of Clinton and the Church of the Creator will also be displaying artwork from local artists. Proceeds from the Fall Festival will benefit the Arts Council of Clinton and Cub Scout Pack 345.
