City of Clinton Postpones Fall Cleanup and Hazardous Waste Disposal Due to Hurricane Delta

Due to Hurricane Delta’s forecasted arrival into the Clinton area on October 10, the City of Clinton has postponed the Fall Cleanup Week and Hazardous Waste Disposal Day to the week of October 31 – November 7.

This decision was made to protect City personnel and the possible deployment of personnel from the hazardous waste collection company to the coast for Hurricane response.

City of Clinton crews will spend the remainder of the week preparing the City for potential flash flooding and winds.

Household Hazardous Waste day will be held on October 31, 2020 from 8 A.M. – Noon at Clinton Public Works, 525 Springridge Road. Products such as: Products such as: used motor oil, paint, paint thinners, propane tanks, batteries, aerosols, antifreeze, televisions, monoitors, computers, insecticides, tires, etc… will be accepted.

Citywide Cleanup Days

Fall Citywide clean-up will be held October 31 – November 7, 2020 (except Sunday) from 7:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. at the old Northside Elementary location 1111 Old Vicksburg Road.

Residents can dispose of yard waste, bulky items and other household debris free of charge.

Clean up will run each day (excluding Sunday) from 7:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. Roll off dumpsters will be placed at the old Northside Elementary location at 1111 Old Vicksburg Road in Clinton. Call the Public Works Department at 601-924-2239 for more information.

Residents are asked to line up for drop off by utilizing Longwood Place in the Briars neighborhood and turning west onto Old Vicksburg road.
