Gulf Relay hosts meet-and-greet and talks future growth
Special to The Clinton Courier
Last month, Clinton Mayor Phil Fisher, along with nearly a dozen City leaders, joined newly-selected Gulf Relay CEO Scott Ausland on a facility tour, followed by a lunch and learn presentation which highlighted the future growth plans of the company and identified innovative ways in which the company and City can partner to further facilitate expansion. Members of the Gulf Relay executive team showcased their expanded corporate office space, warehousing facility and tractor-trailer fleet.
Gulf Relay is located in Clinton’s Industrial Park.
“As we anticipate hiring an additional one hundred to one hundred fifty team members over the coming months, I couldn’t be more impressed with the proactive posture the City of Clinton has taken to support our company,” said Gulf Relay CEO Scott Ausland. “Whether we’re hiring a truck driver or an accountant, great public schools, safe communities, and responsive leadership all are vital components to recruiting a world-class work force to our organization.” He also noted the opening of Continental tire and several other major industries in the Clinton area have been a force multiplier for their business.
“We want people to know Clinton is the North American headquarters hub of Mississippi. We have Continental, E-3 Environmental, Taylor Power Systems and Gulf Relay – all rapidly expanding companies with a nationwide, even global footprint, right here in Clinton. I want job creators to know that in us they have no better friend, and they are welcome here,” said Fisher.
Just recently, it was announced that Siemens Energy would soon begin sharing a Clinton warehouse facility with Gulf Relay, connecting Siemens directly to the Mississippi-based logistics company and allowing for rapid expansion of operations as the new company grows. The Siemens center will fulfill orders for high-voltage electrical transmission products.
Gulf Relay is currently hiring for numerous positions, including drivers, diesel mechanics, sales brokers, freight managers, and other clerical staff.
