A New Chapter for Hetrick Real Estate: Honoring Bill Hetrick’s Vision
When Bill Hetrick unexpectedly passed away on December 23, 2021, he left a legacy of passion, integrity and deep commitment to service. He also left a set of plans for Hetrick Real Estate which has continued to guide us in the years since.
Bill’s succession plan was for Stephen Stewart to take the reins as Managing Broker. Stephen seamlessly transitioned into that role, providing exceptional leadership alongside Associate Broker Allie Bennett. Together, they’ve kept the company moving forward through unprecedented industry changes.
The longer-term goal was for Bill and me to leave real estate altogether. On December 31, 2024, Hetrick Real Estate will close its doors.
Bill envisioned this day as the next step in our broader calling to make a difference, not just in business, but in our community. With that in mind, Stephen, Allie and I will continue his mission in various ways.
Stephen will move to Century 21 David Stevens, where he’ll continue to serve clients with dedication and care “a la Bill Hetrick.” He can still be reached at 601-951-3828 for any real estate needs or referrals.
Allie, who has been an integral part of our team, will step away from real estate for a while to focus on her family and community activities.
As for me, I’ll do my best to carry on Bill’s devotion to civic involvement through various causes and organizations he held dear, such as the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and their annual Bill Hetrick Community Service Award.
As we continue this journey, we remember one important lesson that Bill taught us: Material possessions can never compare to the value of personal relationships.
Our business is closing, but our relationships endure. Our community, clients, colleagues, and friends have become a part of our extended family, and that bond will never change.
