Clinton residents urged to help keep storm drains clear
Special to The Clinton Courier
As leaves continue to fall this season, they can easily clog storm drains, leading to flooding and water backups in neighborhoods.
Clinton’s Public Works officials encourage all Clintonians to take a moment to clear leaves and debris from storm drains near their homes or businesses, in order to help keep streets safe and prevent water damage during heavy rains.
Suggested actions include raking leaves and keeping them away from storm drains, avoiding blowing yard waste into streets, and disposing of leaves in proper yard waste bins or compost piles.
