As residents of Clinton, we have a responsibility to guide our community in a direction that will secure a brighter future for all. Having lived in Clinton for over thirty-five years, I deeply love this town and the people who make it so special. My husband, Dustin, and I are proud to raise our two daughters, Addie and Anna Lois, in a town that we cherish—where they have the privilege of attending Clinton Public Schools like their mom and aunts (Jaime and Leslie Mills).
I am also forever grateful to my parents, Johnny and Connie Mills, who instilled in me the values of loving and serving others, and always doing the right thing. Their unwavering support, along with the encouragement of my husband and the excitement from my girls, has shaped me into the person I am today.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to serve in roles that have allowed me to connect with people and advocate for our community. I currently serve as the Communication Manager at Continental and as the Co-Host of Mississippi Outdoors TV. For over twenty years, Mississippi Outdoors has allowed me to travel across this beautiful state, meet incredible individuals, and experience the diverse cultures that make Mississippi unique. These roles have helped me develop strong communication skills, a commitment to integrity, and a deep sense of service to others—all qualities I would bring to the position of City Alderwoman.
My education at Mississippi College, combined with my professional experience and work in various industries, has provided me with the leadership tools needed to serve Clinton effectively. I’ve also had the honor of being a 2023 graduate of Clinton Leadership, where I learned firsthand the importance of selfless, community-driven leadership. I believe in the power of teamwork, leadership, and working with others to achieve positive change.
As a long-time member of First Baptist Church Clinton, I am committed to giving back to my community through service. I currently serve in the children’s ministry, adult choir, and on the Personnel Board, and I’m proud of the opportunity to contribute to our town’s growth. In my time as a Clintonian, I have served on the CPSD Strategy Planning Committee, Clinton Park, Northside, and Eastside PTO Chair, a Homeroom Mom for five years, and the Salvation Army board.
Clinton has so much to offer to all generations. Public safety is one of my top priorities, and I am grateful that our city continues to make important strides in keeping our community safe and secure. I also understand the value of maintaining and improving our parks and recreational spaces. Traceway Park has always been an important part of my life. Whether I’m coaching a youth team or cheering on my daughters at the fields, you can always find me there. I am committed to ensuring our parks are vibrant and well-maintained for future generations.
Ward 3, it would be an honor to serve as your Alderwoman, working together with all of you to ensure a brighter and prosperous future for Clinton. I ask for your support as we work to keep our city safe, thriving, and successful. Together, we can make a difference.
