CPSD residency, Meet the Teacher events planned
Special to The Clinton Courier

The Clinton Public School District is getting ready for its 2025-26 school year, which begins for students on July 21.
Proof of residency is required for all new and returning students before the start of school. Parents and guardians will be able to prove residency for the school year at the CPSD Residency and Registration Fair on June 24-26 and July 8-10, which will be held each day from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Prior to attending the Residency and Registration Fair, parents should complete online registration at www.ClintonPublicSchools.com/registration.
Parents with students already in the district will log in to the enrollment database to start their student’s form. Parents who do not have their login information can contact registration@ClintonPublicSchools.com for that information to be provided.
Parents of students new to the district should also enroll their student online first, accessing the new student enrollment database by clicking on “Registration” at the top of www.ClintonPublicSchools.com, and selecting “New Student” to create an enrollment account to begin the registration process.
Once the online registration is complete, parents and guardians must bring a physical copy of their lease, deed, mortgage statement or homestead exemption documentation in the parent’s or guardian’s name to the Northside/Eastside cafeteria from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. on one of the six days offered, June 24-26 or July 8-10.
Parents and guardians must also bring a physical copy of a current water bill, power bill or gas bill in the parent’s or guardian’s name dated within 45 days of proving residency. Mobile phone service and internet bills are not considered acceptable utilities.
Parents and guardians needing to prove residency by affidavit will also be able to do so on site at the Residency and Registration Fair. To prove residency by affidavit, both the student’s parent or guardian must be present, as well as the permanent homeowner, all with appropriate identification and documentation.
Parents of returning students who have not proven residency by July 10, 2025, will not receive their student’s schedule during the July 17 Meet the Teacher Day and must report, accompanied by their student, to the Clinton Public School District’s Central Office building at 203 Easthaven Drive on Monday, July 21, beginning at 8:30 a.m. through 1 p.m. to prove residency and ensure the enrollment process is complete.
Parents and guardians of students new to the district who have not proven residency by July 10 must submit residency documentation to their student’s campus prior to July 21, the first day of school.
Also at the Residency and Registration Fair, parents and guardians will be able to pay the $50 instructional fee for the 2025-26 school year. The instructional fee can also be paid during Meet the Teacher Day on July 17.
Fees paid during the Residency and Registration Fair will only be accepted through the MySchoolBucks app. Parents and guardians wishing to pay by check or cash will be able to do so during Meet the Teacher Day on July 17.
All students entering sixth grade will receive their iPad for the 2025-26 school year during the Residency and Registration Fair. Students entering ninth grade will receive their MacBook Air for the 2025-26 school year during this time, as well, if they have not received it already. Students entering ninth grade who did not turn in their devices and chargers at the culmination of the 2024-25 school year will need to bring their iPad, along with their Apple charger, when proving residency.
All assessed device fees from the 2024-25 school year must be paid in full in order for a student to receive a new device.
Once the online enrollment process has been completed and parents have proven residency, no other action will be necessary until Meet the Teacher Day, which is scheduled for Thursday, July 17.
During Meet the Teacher Day, all PreK through twelfth-grade students will have the opportunity to meet their new teachers and to receive their schedules at their designated campus.
Students whose parent or guardian has not completed the online enrollment process or who has not proven residency will not be able to receive their schedule on Meet the Teacher Day.
Additionally, the State of Mississippi requires all students entering the seventh grade to provide proof of an updated TDAP (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) booster. A recent TDAP booster is defined as being administered after the age of seven.
Students may not be enrolled without submission of the required 121 Vaccination Form.
Parents and guardians can present a physical copy of the updated 121 Vaccination Form when proving residency on June 24-26 or July 8-10, or they can turn in their physical copy to Clinton Junior High School officials during Meet the Teacher Day on July 17.
When the 2025-26 school year begins on July 21, parents who do not have a PowerSchool parent account may contact Registration@ClintonPublicSchools.com to receive information to create an account. This account will allow parents to view grades, attendance and access registration for their students moving forward.
Clinton Park Elementary School, Northside Elementary School and Eastside Elementary School, which are the pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade facilities, will start the school year with a staggered start on July 21 and July 22, to help ease the transition of the start of school and allow students to get acclimated to their new classrooms and teachers.
For pre-K through fifth grade ONLY, students with last names starting with A-K will attend on Monday, July 21. Students with last names starting with the letters L-Z will attend on Tuesday, July 22. All students in pre-K through fifth grades will attend on Wednesday, July 23. Students in grades six through twelve will not have a staggered start and will begin classes on Monday, July 21.
All registration links can be found on the school district’s homepage at www.ClintonPublicSchools.com.
