Local veterans from Clinton were recently welcomed and visited with Raymond Marks (U.S. Marine Corps retired) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, after they learned that his quest to complete items on his Bucket List would bring him to the area.   Marks is traveling the United States, visiting every town named “Raymond.”

“I like to meet people and take a lot of photos,” said Marks. “We have a beautiful country and great people. There’s a special bond that veterans share, so it’s always great to see veterans. On this particular trip, I’m visiting the towns of Raymond in Mississippi, Georgia, Kansas, South Dakota, and Iowa. I have scrapbooks I’m filling with photos and souvenirs from each town I have visited.”

Clintonians Bob and Richard Catlett and Don Nyberg met up with Marks on the historic town square in nearby Raymond. They said they had a great time sharing stories and hearing about Marks’ Bucket List experiences.
