Volunteers sought for community clean-up effort

The Clinton Courier

Clintonians who would like to lend a hand to beautifying their city are encouraged to sign up to join the Main Street Clinton and Keep Clinton Beautiful Fall Community Clean-up on Saturday, September 13.

The efforts will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at noon, and volunteers will be asked to help with a variety of tasks, including general cleanup, planting, washing signs, painting, etc.

Three areas are targeted for cleanup – city-wide, Clinton Boulevard and Olde Towne – and volunteers can select the area for which they would like to volunteer. A minimum of fifteen volunteers are needed for each of the Clinton Boulevard and Olde Towne cleanup efforts, and a minimum of thirty volunteers are needed for the city-wide cleanup.

Volunteers are asked to come dressed appropriately for the task and to bring garden tools, if they have any.

Groups are welcome and are asked to reach out to Tara Lytal at Main Street Clinton to sign up. She can be reached at 601-924-5472 or by email at TLytal@ClintonMS.org.
