Clinton students bring home state competition awards
Special to The Clinton Courier
Clinton High School’s Career Center Technology Student Association (TSA) recently returned from State Competition. The TSA members competed in events, ranging from audio podcasting to Webmaster. While not every student won, they all gained valuable experience and met peers from across the state of Mississippi.

Hunter Ashley won third place in virtual reality simulation.
“I am so proud of my students who competed in TSA competitions this year,” said Clinton Career Center Information Technology Teacher and TSA co-advisor Kimberly Poe. “Even those that didn’t win or place, they represented Clinton’s Career Center well! They made connections with peers from across the state, and gained new skills. One judge even bragged to me about how well they conducted themselves during the interview process.”
“I am proud of our TSA students who competed this year,” said Multimedia I Instructor and TSA co‑advisor Tempress Holly-Lanyuy. “Competing in TSA events requires hard work, dedication, careful attention to detailed instructions, and completion of extensive portfolios. Many students also volunteered extra time after school to collaborate as teams, and their commitment is commendable.”
