Clinton students graduate from MSMS

The Mississippi School for Math and Science (MSMS) is the state’s nationally recognized residential high school for academically advanced eleventh and twelfth graders. The class of 2026 graduated 111 students on May 23, 2026. This graduating class has accepted more than $15.9 million of $34.2 million offered in scholarships to attend universities all over Mississippi and the nation.

Four of the graduates are from Clinton: Sam Muse Cole, Nhat Minh Nhu Nguyen, John Thomas Sistrunk and Belsy Yulieth Soto. All four previously attended Clinton High School.

Cole is the child of Kathryn Cole and Jeremy Cole and will be attending The University of Central Florida this fall.

Nguyen is the child of Thung Phan and Hung Nguyen and will be attending Mississippi State University this fall.

Sistrunk is the child of Shannon Spohn and Christopher Sistrunk and will be attending Georgia Institute of Technology this fall.

Soto is the child of Aniuska Maya and Davis Soto and will be attending East Mississippi Community College this fall.
