Johnston of Clinton inducted into MAB Hall of Fame

Colon Johnston of Clinton was recently inducted into the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters (MAB) Hall of Fame in Biloxi. Pictured with his wife, Brenda, Johnston was honored for his seventy-two-year broadcasting career, establishing and working at radio stations across Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas before retiring at age eighty-nine in 2024. He spent his final twenty-four years with WBYP-FM/WELZ-AM in Yazoo City and Belzoni, stations he established in 2000.
