For almost 20 years, Baptist has offered a low-cost heart screening to help people identify heart disease risks. On Saturday, February 4, 2017, from 7:00 am until 11:00 am, Baptist Heart, a division of Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., will kick-off February being designated as national heart disease awareness month with its $25 basic heart screening.
This day, deemed as Baptist’s Heart Day 2017, is a screening, available only by appointment, for adults ages 18 and older. Participants are required to fast for 12 hours before their scheduled screening. Valued at $450, the screening features Baptist’s Heart Basic package which includes:
• Heart risk assessment
• Blood pressure
• Height and weight with BMI calculation
• Total cholesterol and glucose
The $25 screening will take place at Baptist Medical Center – Colonnades Medical Office Building, 501 Marshall Street in Jackson, Miss.
