Clinton Bandits’ “Home Runs for Heather”
This year the Clinton Bandits, a U9/10 rec baseball team coached by Cory Radicioni, decided to dedicate the season to Heather Bryant and her fight against cancer. To support the Bryants, they organized a pledge drive called “Home Runs for Heather” and took pledges for each home run hit during the season. As a result, they received pledges of $80 per home run from individuals in the community. Five home runs later they had raised $400 to give to “Hope for Heather”! Other funds were raised from one-time donations and by designing and selling t-shirts. Last night Heather and her family attended the Bandits final game and the team presented her with a check for $845.
