City of Clinton Battle of the Badges Blood Drive

The City of Clinton will be holding their annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive with Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) on Thursday, September 6, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Brighton Park.

“The Clinton city employees host a blood drive every year to honor their local fire and police departments, and in memory of the first responders whose lives were lost on 9/11,” Tammy Bouchillon, MBS Senior Marketing Rep, said. “It has now turned into a heated Battle of the Badges competition.”

The Clinton Fire Department won the title in 2016, recruiting the most donors for the completion. They are determined this year to hold onto their title. However, the Clinton Police Department have other ideas!

This is the twelfth year for the community blood drive, which averages 100 units. All donors will receive a T-shirt and be registered for a chance to win door prizes. There will also be free food from local eateries and karaoke. Come out and celebrate Clinton’s local heroes by being one of their heroes—donate blood!

Donors must be at least 16 years old (16-year-olds must have signed parental consent; visit our Web site for a copy of the form), weigh at least 110 pounds and have a valid ID.
