Mississippi College Continuing Ed to Offer Pharmacy Technician Training
Adults interested in gaining a pharmacy technician license are invited to take a prep course offered at Mississippi College by the Office of Continuing Education.
Course content includes medical terminology specific to the pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions, and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students will learn dosage calculations, I.V. flow rate, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control, and billing and reimbursement.
The MC Office of Continuing Education is offering the class beginning in March. The cost of the course will be $1199 and gives 50 hours of instruction.
