Luke Podskarby is the proprietor of Millie D’s Frozen Desserts & Coffee in Clinton and Ridgeland. Podskarby decided to open a Millie D’s in Clinton because he believed Clinton needed a quality dessert shop that was not limited to just frozen yogurt. “Due to our large space we were able to have more than just fro-yo. We brought in ice cream, dairy free sorbet, and a full coffee bar with standard and specialty drinks.” Podskarby says they also added baked goods to the menu, such as, brownies, cinnamon rolls, scones, cupcakes, cobbler, lemon cake, and muffins. Millie D’s is partnered with Sugaree’s Bakery, giving customers a chance to order Sugaree’s cakes.
Millie D’s receive their products from a vendor. The company that produces their ice cream, dairy free sorbet, and frozen yogurt has a wide variety of flavors. “We listen to our customers and supply the shops with whatever flavors they desire.” The non-diary flavor options include: Valencia orange sorbet, tropical sorbet, pink lemonade sorbet, and mango sorbet.
“I do love sweets,” Podskarby says. Podskarby prefers ice cream while his wife prefers peanut butter or chocolate frozen yogurt. Podskarby currently enjoys Millie D’s yellow cake batter ice cream and the Georgia peach ice cream flavor. When Podskarby adds toppings, he may place pecans and pretzels on his yellow cake batter ice cream.
“We are very excited to be in Clinton.” Podskarby says that he is honored to serve Clinton residents who enjoy eating ice cream and frozen yogurt. Podskarby has attended outdoor functions in Clinton and says he enjoyed the experience. Discounts are offered to MC students, veterans, first responders, seniors, doctors, nurses, and teachers.
