Flu season is coming! The City of Clinton Living Young Program and Walgreens are sponsoring a flu shot clinic Tuesday, September 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the A.E. Wood Activity and Therapeutic Center located at 111 Clinton Blvd., Clinton, MS 39056.
Responsible for 200,000 hospitalizations and 36,000 deaths nationwide each year, influenza (flu) is caused by a virus that affects the entire body and for some may cause pneumonia, dehydration and other serious complications, especially senior citizens, very young children and people with serious health conditions.
Medicare Part B and most insurance cover flu shots at no cost to you. The clinic is open to the public. Everyone is invited to protect themselves, loved ones over 6 months of age and caregivers by making an advance appointment at the Center or by calling (601) 924-6387 or emailing Chandra at firstname.lastname@example.org. A limited number of vouchers and discounts are available for those without insurance who register in advance.
The Senior Services program offers recreational, educational, wellness and social services to people ages 50 and over in a friendly environment. For additional information go to: https://www.clintonms.org/departments/therapeutic-recreation/living-young-program/
