On Saturday, October 13, staff from State Treasurer Lynn Fitch’s office will be available at the Fall Market to help area residents search the State’s unclaimed property list and file claims for their funds.
“Since I took office as Treasurer in January 2012, my office has distributed nearly $89 million in unclaimed property,” said Treasurer Fitch. “This represents 56% of all the funds distributed through the State unclaimed property program since it began in 1982. We have been so successful thanks to partnerships with local and state elected leaders and I appreciate Mayor Fisher inviting us to join him in helping Clinton residents claim their money.”
“I am pleased Treasurer Fitch’s unclaimed property team will be at this year’s Fall Market,” said Clinton Mayor Phil Fisher. “Every dollar we return to Clinton residents and businesses helps our local economy, and can make a real difference in people’s lives. I encourage anyone attending this Saturday to stop by their table and see if your name is on the State’s list.”
Unclaimed property specialists from the Treasurer’s office will be available:
