Rafael Costa Named to D2CCA All-South Region Team
Mississippi College senior Rafael Costa has been named to the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) All-South Region Second Team, it was announced on Wednesday (Nov. 14).
Costa (Estoril, Portugal) earned All-Gulf South Conference First Team honors following the 2018 season. He started all 14 matches for the Choctaws and served as the team captain.
He scored twice and had a pair of assists on the year, notching a goal and both of his helpers in a 7-2 victory over Shorter on September 28th.
Costa and the Choctaws wrapped up the 2018 season with a record of 6-7-1, just missing out on the GSC Tournament by one spot in the standings.
