Back on the brick streets, the fourth annual Red Brick Roads Music and Arts Festival, presented by Trustmark, is scheduled for August 23 and 24 in Olde Towne Clinton. Marc Broussard will be headlining on Saturday evening, and singer songwriter Yoke Lore will be the headliner on Friday evening.
Participants can enjoy live music, food, crafts and art vendors, and a wide selection of craft beer – all on the historic brick streets of Olde Towne Clinton. Main Street Clinton, the Clinton Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Clinton are bringing the event to the community for a fourth year. The festival is a celebration of Mississippi creatives, featuring Mississippi musicians, Southern cuisine, Mississippi film showcase and the second annual Red Brick Brew Homebrew Competition. In addition, this year’s event will include a new Red Brick Roads Talent Competition. The festival will feature twenty local and regional craft beers on tap.
The festival starts on Friday night, August 23, with a songwriter round robin featuring a local artist showcase at 7 p.m. Locals include Sam Mooney, Ryan Warnick, ALLY, and Chance Peña. Headliner Yoke Lore will end the evening at 8:45 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Patrons may choose to head back to the brick streets on Saturday, August 24, and shop the Red Brick Roads Craft Festival. The Red Brick Roads Talent Competition will begin at 1 p.m., and the Red Brick Brew Homebrew Competition will be at 3:30 p.m. Empty Atlas will perform at 4 p.m., followed by J and The Causeways, Shelly Fairchild, and closing with headliner Mark Broussard. Gates open at noon on Saturday.
Downtown businesses will be encouraged to keep their doors open for lateday, early evening shoppers. Attendees can also shop from Red Brick Roads vendors, who will have booths Monroe Street on Saturday. Attendees may bring lawn chairs and friends, but no cooler, and enjoy a weekend on the brick streets.
