CPD to purchase drug dog for 10K

At the last Board of Alderman meeting, it was approved for Clinton Police Department to purchase a narcotics detection canine from US K9 Unlimited in Abbeville, LA.  The cost of the newest member of the police force was $9500.00 and includes 4 weeks of certification handler training course for $9500.00.

It was also approved for the Police Department to purchase a K9 Insert platform kennel, cool guard system with rescue technology and storage vault for $5,595.20 for a 2018 Ford SUV police vehicle.

This dog will be used for drug detection on our streets, interstates and in our local schools.
