CPSD wins Beacon Award

Today the Clinton Public School District received a Beacon Award, the highest award given by the Mississippi School Boards Association, for the strength of its academic programs. Clinton is an A-rated school district and the third highest-achieving school district in Mississippi.

Receiving the award are (l-r) Clinton Junior High Principal Tamikia Billings, CHS Career Complex Principal Dr. Bill Hardin, Northside Principal Mandy Ambrose, Clinton High School Principal Brett Robinson, Clinton Park Principal Kelli Pope, CPSD Superintendent Dr. Tim Martin, Lovett Principal Dr. Mike Pope, School Board member Dr. Matt Thomas, Sumner Hill Principal Christie Claxton, School Board President Paula DeYoung, School Board Member Bernard Kines, Federal Programs and Testing Director Teresa Duke, School Board Member Dr. Felicia Gavin, Clinton Success Center Principal Charles King, and Assistant Superintendent Anthony Goins.
