Truckers Against Trafficking presents MS. Trucking Association with Award

Truckers Against Trafficking Executive Director Kendis Paris presented The Mississippi Trucking Association with the 2020 TAT Champion Award in the Association category.

The Truckers Against Trafficking Champion Award is given to recognize and honor the outstanding creative, innovative, generous and dedicated efforts of specific TAT partners whose actions have significantly furthered TAT’s work in engaging more members of the industries TAT works with, as well as the efforts of more agencies and organizations within the state and nation, in the fight to end this crime and recover more survivors and prosecute more perpetrators.

“The Mississippi Trucking Association is very proud to receive this recognition for its work with Truckers Against Trafficking. MTA and our members have been engaged in the fight against human trafficking for several years. MTA member companies have trained almost 10,000 trucking industry employees in conjunction with TAT. These trained employees are acting as a watchdog on the American highways to combat this horrific crime. We are proud to be a part of the process in helping properly equip these highway heroes to assist them in rescuing so many innocent victims that have been trapped in human trafficking” MTA President, Hal Miller said.
