Library Announces Opening Hours, Friends Book Sale Plans Underway

The Clinton-Quisenberry Library is now open Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wearing masks is mandatory for the staff and patrons in the library.

The public may browse and check out materials, make copies and send faxes.  However, at this time no studying, tutoring or meeting room use is available.

“Patrons should call to schedule an appointment to use computers,” said Susan Delmas, Clinton librarian.

She indicated that a Friends of the Library board meeting is scheduled for later this week to make plans for scheduling the first book sale to be held in over a year. “We hope that June will be the month to offer many wonderful titles for sale,”  she said.  “As soon as plans are made, we will announce the date.”  Funds raised by the sales support unbudgeted items for the library.

The number to call for further information or for computer scheduling is 601-924-5684.

Many interesting titles such as this Birds Worth Knowing published in 1923 will be offered in a Friends of the Library book sale tentatively set for June. The book sales have been suspended for over a year because of the CORONA-19 virus pandemic. The date will be announced in the near future as plans are completed.
