City of Clinton continues to offer Veterans Banner Program

Clinton Mississippi Veterans banner program

Special to The Clinton Courier

The City of Clinton will be offering the Veterans Banner Program for any participants interested in being included for Veterans Day 2021.  The deadline for submitting all forms is Friday, August 13. Banners will continue to hang each year on all patriotic holidays as long as the program is in place by the city.

The Veterans Banner Program was created for the community to recognize and honor all Clinton Veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces – Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, National Guard, and Reserve units – with courage and compassion. The banner program began in November 2017 and has grown to 108 Clinton Veterans shown on banners within the city.

The banners will include rank, full name, branch of the military, and the era, or the years of service. The banners will be displayed on the light poles that line the Clinton Parkway from Springridge Road to Northside Drive and on the light poles that line Highway 80 from Springridge Road to Clinton Raymond Road.

Each participant will be required to complete a banner order form, provide a high-resolution quality headshot photograph of the veteran in uniform, and make payment of $200 for each banner. The photograph must be sent in a JPEG file as an attachment to an email to The banner order form can be downloaded at or can be picked up at the Clinton Visitor Center located at 1300 Pinehaven Road.
