Christmas Memorial Reflection service set for Dec. 3

Special to The Clinton Courier

The Senior Adult Ministry of First Baptist Church Clinton (FBCC) has scheduled its second annual Christmas Memorial Reflection service for Friday, December 3, at 6 p.m. in the church’s sanctuary.

The service of Christmas remembrances is open to the community, as the congregation will light a candle in honor of those who are gone from this life and now rest from their labors.

The lighting of a Christmas votive candle and the placing of it on a special tree allows attendees to memorialize their loved ones’ lives with love and remembrances during a sensitive time of the year, acknowledging the legacy they have left behind and being joyous in the celebration of the Christmas season.

Special music, stories and songs will be a part of the service, as well.

To have an honoree’s name called during the lighting of the votive tree, submit a request to the FBCC office prior to December 1. The community is invited to a traditional Yule social in the FBCC Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. For more information, call 601-924-6705.
