MC hoops matchup with West Georgia postponed

CLINTON, Miss. – Mississippi College’s men’s basketball game against West Georgia that was originally set for tomorrow has been postponed.  This Gulf South Conference matchup will be rescheduled for a future date.

The Choctaws currently have a 4-8 record (2-4 GSC).  They are paced by guard Tradavis Thompson, who is averaging 13.5 points (14th in GSC) in 36.1 minutes per game (4th in GSC).

Guard Miles Miller is 11th in the conference in three-point percentage (34.4 percent). He is averaging 2.0 three-pointers per game, which is 12th in the conference.

Guard Lamont Berzat has been the top distributor of the basketball in the GSC, averaging a league-leading 5.3 assists per game. He is also tied for second in the conference with an assist/turnover ratio of 2.1.

Forward Zach Jones has been one of the top shot blockers in the conference, averaging 1.3 per game (5th in GSC).

The Choctaws will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to face West Florida. Tip off is set for 7:30 p.m. from Pensacola.
