Clinton Christian Academy’s (CCA) state-of-the-art Athletic and Performing Arts Center, a 17,000-square-foot addition to their Northside Drive campus, is almost complete.

The new facility includes a gym and locker rooms for Warriors’ basketball teams from elementary to JV levels, as well as for the varsity teams. Coaches’ offices and a modern weight room will be on the second floor, and there will be concession areas and restrooms at the rear of the building available for use by fans during baseball, softball and football games.

Additionally, CCA’s two award-winning show choirs, One Life and Extreme, will share space with student theatrical performances and the annual Beauty and Beau pageant on a full stage.

Chapel for the students will be held in the facility, as well. Spacious parking with an array of trees will give the feel of a college campus.

The project represents a $2 million investment in Clinton Christian Academy. CCA leaders join Warriors’ fans, students and other stakeholders who say they can’t wait for the doors to open.

Josh Zeitz, the CCA athletic director, says he is excited to see the private school’s innovative complex so close to completion.

“This facility represents a significant step for CCA in attracting athletes and building dominant athletic programs well into the future,” said Zeitz. “This is certainly a great time to be a Warrior.”

The project is the fifth phase in the overall campus plan since the Clinton school was established in 2008. The builder/contractor for the facility is Shane Ormon Construction Management and Design, Inc., of Clinton, and engineering services were provided by Alford and Associates.

Cindy Nix, the CCA show choir director, said she is looking forward to using the new facility.

“We will be better prepared for our music programs, drama presentations and show choir competitions,” said Nix. “Having a space of our own will boost pride and confidence in our entire student body.”

During construction, every student at CCA wrote their favorite Bible verse on the underlying cement floor to commemorate the school’s Christian foundation and commitment.

A ribbon cutting was held for the new facility on February 24. Clinton Christian Academy is planning an open house for the public on Wednesday, March 9, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The CCA campus is located at 101 West Northside Drive.

“We are so excited about this project and what it means to our CCA families,” as well as the school’s projected growth, says CCA Headmaster Dr. Phil Broome. “God has once again provided a path for us, and we are now completing the next step in our effort to further His Kingdom.”

Samuel Bryson, Chairman of the CCA Board of Directors, said he is exited about the progress and success that CCA has had since its founding in 2008.

“It is remarkable for us to have achieved what so many have worked so hard for in such a short time,” said Bryson. “I could not be more happy and proud for students, faculty and parents for what this new facility means for our future.”
