Patton leads Bulldogs to victory in series sweep

On February 19, the Tougaloo Bulldogs hosted the Arkansas Baptist College Buffaloes, resulting in a series sweep, with the first game ending with a score of 14-0, and the second game ending with a score of 9-3.
Tougaloo ace Bradford Patton led the Bulldog pitching staff with a one-hitter. In five innings pitched, he recorded eight strikeouts with no earned runs in game one to lead the Bulldogs to their victory.
Patton, of Clinton, is a 2018 graduate of Hillcrest Christian School. He is a senior baseball player at Tougaloo and was recently featured in the first edition of the Black College Nines, a newspaper whose mission is to promote both current Historically Black College and University (HBCU) baseball and its legacy. Patton is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Ronald Patton of Clinton.
