CJHS cheerleaders win camp awards

The Clinton Junior High School (CJHS) cheerleaders were recently able to attend their first cheer camp away from CJHS in two years. Cheer squads from different middle nad high schools from all over the state of Mississippi came together at Mississippi College June 13-16 to attend the Universal Cheerleaders Association Camp.
The CJHS Arrow cheerleaders took home several awards, including first place in game day cheer, third place in cheer, fourth place in cheer dance, and superior overall in the junior high division.
Upcoming eighth grade cheerleaders include Alayna Beard, Audrey Bowers, Ayana Brown, Gabrielle Dean, Hannah Griffin, Lecia Martinez, Katey Powell, Ansley Kate Rutland, Joya Smith, Mary Culipher Stephens, Mackenzie Toaster and Rebecca Ukele. Upcoming seventh grade cheerleaders include Janay Cleveland, Kennedy Denson, Bailey Edwards, Jacelyn Harrington, Ashlyn Heindl, Jayla Hicks, Camille Lewis, Kaitlyn Sellers, Avery Torrence, Codi Wall and Makayla Watson.
