Clinton students named to Hinds academic teams

Special to The Clinton Courier

Andrew Richardson and Tai Van of Clinton are two of only seventeen Hinds Community College students who have been named to the 2023 All-Mississippi Community College Academic Team. They were recognized recently at the Muse Center on the college’s Rankin campus. Both students were selected for the All-Mississippi Second Team and will each receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Richardson is a workforce student at Hinds’ Raymond campus. He is enrolled in the barbering program. Van is also a workforce student and is enrolled at Hinds’ Nursing/Allied Health Center in the physical therapy assistant program.

Team members are selected from Phi Theta Kappa members who have submitted application packages which are subjected to several rounds of judging by education officials, business leaders from across the U.S., and a distinguished panel of representatives from federal agencies and national education associations based in Washington D.C.
