Brittany Moore has joined the Clinton-Quisenberry Library staff as branch manager.

Anne Sanders, programs and partnerships manager, has served as interim branch manager for the past several weeks. Moore, originally from Greenville, Mississippi, has been with the Jackson-Hinds Library System for four years and comes to Clinton from the Edwards Library.

“The staff and I want to continue the good work that the Clinton library is known for, working with our patrons of all ages and seeking to educate the young ones about the importance of libraries,” said Moore.

Moore and Sanders collaborated with the Friends of the Library on December events, the Christmas Gala day and trees decorated by organizations and businesses in Clinton. Program presenters were Geneva Scott, Clay Mansell, Diane Pleasant and Johnny Lowe, accompanied by his friend Homer. They will be among presenters in coming months.

Johnny Lowe, accompanied by his puppy friend Homer, served as a December presenter at the Clinton Quisenberry Library.

Children’s story hour programs continue to be a popular event at the library each Wednesday beginning at 10 a.m.

The Friends of the Library kicked off the new year with the first-of-the-month book sale January 4 and 5 and have set the next sale for February 2 and 3. Although many books were purchased in the January sale, a variety of titles will be available on sale tables in February. Popular going rate is a bag of books for $5. Sale hours are from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Programs for different ages and covering a variety of topics are being planned for upcoming months. For more information, visit the library at 605 East Northside Drive, or call 601-924-5684.
