Sweetheart Formal seeking sponsors for February 8 event

The Clinton Therapeutic Recreation Department’s annual Sweetheart Formal, a cherished tradition that exemplifies the department’s mission to create inclusive and joyful experiences for individuals with disabilities, is planned this year for February 8. The event offers a welcoming, supportive space for people of all ages to dress up, dance and create lasting memories in a safe and inclusive environment.
Born from the desire to provide an accessible and exciting alternative to traditional formal events, the Sweetheart Formal is filled with red-carpet entrances, live music, professional photography and a catered dinner, in hopes of ensuring everyone feels like a star.
Beyond the festivities, the event builds confidence, strengthens community ties and fosters connections that go far beyond the dance floor. It offers attendees a rare opportunity to be celebrated and valued for who they are, while also encouraging friendship and unity among families, volunteers and the broader community.
The Clinton Therapeutic Recreation Department encourages businesses, organizations and community members to participate as sponsors for the 2025 Sweetheart Formal. Sponsorship support, which goes towards event expenses, helps to make the event a reality and ensures that individuals with disabilities can experience the joy of a special night.
