Red Hot Tutu Run 5K set for February 15
The Clinton MS Alumnae Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will host their annual Red Hot Tutu Run 5K this month.
Set for Saturday, February 15, at Lions Club Park, registration is open for Clintonians to join the fun, whether they are seasoned runners or just looking for a way to stay active.
The race will begin at 8 a.m., and the event will include medals, refreshments and fun.
Registration is open through February 14, and is $25 for the 5K run and the 5K walk. There will be a Fun Run for those ages twelve and under, with a registration fee of $10. Those who wish to register a group of ten participants can do so for $200.
As one of the 1,000 chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Clinton chapter has, since 2004, worked to bring impactful programming in the areas of economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, political awareness and involvement, and social action to the communities of Bolton, Byram, Clinton, Edwards, Terry, Raymond and Utica.
Under the leadership of Chapter President Wanda Thomas of Clinton, the organization is comprised of nearly two hundred college educated women with a collective focus to bring change, innovation and service.
The first one hundred registrants are guaranteed a t-shirt in their selected size.
